When we are very young, we encounter closed doors, and we get frustrated or angry, feeling the Universe is against us because we can’t go through the door. As we sit in our frustration and anger, we may be fortunate and have someone show us how to operate the handle, or we calm down and think about how to open it on our own. As we continue on, we find locked doors instead; then the challenge before us is to find the key to opening that lock, or sometimes we still can’t find the key, and again we grow frustrated or angry. In each case, while we ‘see’ the Universe blocking our path, really, it is giving us the opportunities we need to learn and grow, or even protecting us in the case of a locked door with no key, because what is on the other side of that door is harmful or hurtful for us.
