The Unknown
No one likes the unknown very much. It creates fear. It leaves us wondering if we are prepared, and can we handle what is coming. However, for all of you reading this, you are capable! You can manage and navigate the future.
We see our choices unfold before us, even if we don’t always know or remember that this is what is happening. The unfolding is not just our environment, not just what happens, but who we are as we experience the moment, as we decide our response – fear, love, amusement, joy, or even anger.
Navigating Changes
You do not need to embrace change in this year – you need only be aware of it; to embrace the moment and chose a response to the moment.
As we grow, we always change, physically and mentally. We expect our children to mature, gain independence, awareness, and empathy. However, as we age, we form habits that lock us into patterns, ways of doing that remain the same, even as our environment, and we ourselves, change.
This is a year that will challenge old habits and responses. We can look at this experience with frustration, or like our past, we can see it with wiser eyes, and decide what is needed to be let go of, and make room for what we want to welcome that supports our growth.
Resolutions
All this can seem intimidating, frightening, and worrisome, but it does not need to be. For you, a new year’s resolution, if you will, to help with navigating the potentials and bringing them forward into your life with joy, love, and laughter:
